Manta Rays Diving - South Africa, Mozambique - Sharktraveler
Manta Ray Dive Trips
Brief description of your day:
- Briefing by the divemaster on your boat about the reef, currents, launching and safety procedures.
- Walk down to the beach and launch your boat.
- There are various reefs which feature manta cleaning stations and on which they are frequently sighted.
- Generally you would either go out on a single or double tank dive. The benefit of a double tank dive is that you get an opportunity to snorkel with the huge and curious whale sharks or other sea life during the required surface interval between your first and second dive.
- You should bring sun-block, water and a hat along.
Your Experience:
Experience the ethereally graceful manta rays as they swoop majestically around the cleaning stations, if you keep low and relaxed they can stay around for a long while, and it is definitely an unforgettable experience to have manta rays with 5 metre plus wingspans dancing above your head.
Your boat will launch directly from the beach outside the dive centre and you are free to have breakfast or a snack at our restaurant. There are hot showers and good coffee available on your return to shore.
