Your Experience:
Seeing the greatest and one of the oldest animals on the planet is truly a unique, awe-inspiring and humbling experience. Most people arrive with fear and trepidation and leave with admiration and a newfound respect for these majestic animals. Experience the thrill of being underwater and surrounded by Great White Sharks! Feel the exposure of freediving while remaining safe inside the cage. You can view the sharks from both the cage and the boat and see the Great White Shark in all its magnificence.
Your launch time will be confirmed well in advance of your trip. Meet for breakfast, a picnic lunch and soft drinks on board. Towels and dive equipment are provided & there are hot shower facilities at the crew house.
You DO NOT need to be a qualified diver to enter the cage as we use a simple breath hold technique. All your diving equipment will be on board waiting for you.
Meet with great white shark expert Michael Rutzen, world famous for free diving with great white sharks.
Depart with:
BARRACUDA is a 12.5m Lee Cat and was purpose built for great white shark cage diving. Her twin hull makes her extremely stable - something to consider if you are prone to sea-sickness!
We take a maximum of 21 clients although she is licensed to carry 36 people (30 Clients and 6 Crew). The back deck is spacious and the upstairs viewing deck offers an awesome vantage point from which to watch all the action! On board we have all your diving equipment, towels and picnic lunch. Barracuda also carries all the required safety equipment including two 15 man life rafts.
It is a 20 minute ride to Dyer Island where the crew will anchor the boat and prepare the cage for diving. On the boat you will get a full briefing of the dive.
You Need:
- Polaroid Sunglasses
- Sunblock
- Warm Jacket
- A Hat
- Don't forget to take sea-sick tablets before going out, this dive is done around Dyer Island where the water is very seldom as calm as the Mediterranean Sea.
